One more way-gook-in.
We’ve checked in at Gimhae airport, we’re the first flight of the day. We arrived at 4am and the airport was…closed… Yes. They let us in though and we sat in the dark for a while.
A Korean man approached our bench and said something like, “Well you guys are foreigners too so In going to sit here and talk to you.” I was caught of gaurd I have to admit.
It turns out he was from Washington heading to Japan. We talked for two hours about, well, lots of stuff! Korea, Japan, comics, books. It was a lot of fun but we never exchanged information or even names. I guess that’s how it goes sometimes. I’m glad that our last Way-Gook-In (foreignerin Korean) encounter was so pleasant. Ready to board!
